AP880X Series
AP880X step-down DC-DC converters require the support of only four components and operate at switching frequencies up to 600kHz, enabling the use of smaller, lower cost inductors and capacitors. Designed to drive series-connected LEDs with a constant current, the AP880X family supports up to 13 LEDs from voltage sources between 8V and 48V. The drivers are suitable for a broad range of high-brightness, general illumination applications including: signage, architectural, emergency lighting and MR16 lamp replacement. An integrated soft-start function reduces LED stress and extends lifetime.
ZXLD132X Series
The ZXLD132X Series are inductive DC/DC converters with an internal switch that are designed for driving single or multiple LEDs in series. The devices include the DC-DC converter, a high-side current monitor and an NPN switching transistor to provide an integrated solution offering small PCB size, competitive cost and performance, high power efficiency of DC-DC conversion and maximum LED brightness and reliability. More importantly, it retains design flexibility to add customer specific features. External resistors set nominal average LED current and coil peak current independently.
ZXLD135X Series
The ZXLD135X is a continuous mode inductive step-down converter, designed for driving single or multiple series connected LEDs efficiently from a voltage source higher than the LED voltage. The device provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 350mA or 550mA (ZXLD1356). Depending upon supply voltage and external components, this can provide up to 8W or 30W (ZXLD1356) of output power. The ZXLD135X includes the output switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit, which uses an external resistor to set the nominal average output current. The ADJ pin will accept either a DC voltage or a PWM waveform.
ZXLD136X Series
The ZXLD1360 is a continuous mode inductive step-down converter, designed for driving single or multiple series connected LEDs efficiently from a voltage source higher than the LED voltage. The device provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 1A. The ZXLD136X series includes the output switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit, which uses an external resistor to set the nominal average output current. Output current can be adjusted above, or below the set value, by applying an external control signal to the 'ADJ' pin. The ADJ pin will accept either a DC voltage or a PWM waveform.
ZXLD38X Series
The ZXLD38X is a series of single or multi cell LED drivers designed for applications where step-up voltage conversion from a very low input voltage is required. The IC generates constant current pulses that are ideal for driving single or multiple LEDs over a wide range of operating voltages. These devices us a PFM control technique to drive an internal switching transistor that exhibits a low saturation resistance. This ensures high efficiency even for input voltages as low as 1V. The IC can start up under full load and operates
down to an input voltage of only 0.9V.
ZXSC Series
The ZXSC300 and ZXSC380 are single or multi-cell LED drivers designed for applications where step-up voltage conversion from very low input voltages is required. These applications mainly operate from single 1.5V or 1.2V battery cells. The circuit generates constant current pulses that are ideal for driving single or multiple LED’s over a wide range of operating voltages.
The ZXSC310 is a single or multi-cell LED driver designed for LCD backlighting applications. The input voltage range of the device is between 0.8V and 8V. This means the ZXSC310 is compatible with single NiMH, NiCd or Alkaline cells as well as multi-cell or lithium-Ion batteries. The ZXSC400 is a voltage mode boost converter. Its low feedback voltage allows the current in a chain of LEDs to be set and accurately monitored with a single resistor giving minimal losses. Its excellent load and line regulation means that for the full supply range from lithium-ion cells, the LED current will typically change by less than 1%. Using high efficiency Zetex switching transistors with ratings of 20V and higher allows many LEDs to be chained in a series for the best LED current matching possible.
