PUI Audio continues to lead the industry by launching a full line of silicon microphones. These high tech microphones use Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), which is the integration of mechanical elements and electronics on a common silicone substrate.

Some of the advantages of MEMS microphones over the traditional Electret Condenser Microphones (ECM) are:
	•	MEMS utilizes a charge pump to produce constant charge on the diaphragm resulting in less power supply noise.
	•	MEMS is less susceptible to vibration
	•	Manufacturing is an automated process that allows for more consistent manufacturing and a better repeatability.
	•	Small size with top and reverse mounting allows for flexibility with mounting options.
	•	Internal pre-amp and filtering capacitors.

• Ability to withstand standard lead-free solder reflow profiles (260°C for 30 seconds) without impacting performance.
