High-Throughput Delta-Sigma A/D Converters

The CS556x/7x/8x family of 24-bit and 16-bit Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converters are based upon a unique modulator & filter combination that offers high dynamic range along with the very fast filter settling time of one conversion. These features provide the benefits of Delta-Sigma converters in applications where SAR converters are usually dominant, i.e., designs with multiple inputs.

These new Delta-Sigma ADCs provide designers of precision instrumentation, such as industrial process controllers, laboratory instrumentation, medical instrumentation, and high-speed weighing systems, with a significantly higher level of dynamic range and lower sensitivity to system interference while providing high multiplexer throughput.
