Commodity Specialist

Digi-Key Corporation is currently seeking organized individuals with good communications skills to fill Commodity Specialist positions. The successful candidates will possess highly developed research and analytical skills, outstanding written and verbal communications skills, excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects and relationships, the ability to organize work on a daily basis and meet deadlines, and proficiency with computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and marketing experience are preferred.

Job duties will include the preparation and presentation of resale price analyses comparing Digi-Key's published resale prices to those of competing distributors; the preparation and presentation of cost, resale, and market share analyses comparing Digi-Key suppliers who compete in the same product lines; the preparation of monthly sales and market share reports for distribution to management; participation in the development of a database of competitive pricing on volume business; the preparation of sales reports for supplier meetings; and the maintenance of sales and customer counts for each supplier. The Commodity Specialist will also work with the IT department to continue to develop Business Intelligence reporting.
