THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota - June 18, 2009 — Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, announced today the addition of its Technology Zones information and resource centers on its US and Canadian websites.

Accessible from Digi-Key's homepage, Technology Zones features three areas, including Lighting Solutions, Microcontroller Solutions, and Wireless Solutions. From the landing pages of each of these zones, users can link to featured product guides and information; resources that include application notes and product training modules; product-specific parametric part searches; and FAQs as well as links to Digi-Key's technical support specialists via email or live web chat. Also accessible from the individual zones are links to the supplier partners that provide product in each of the three categories.

The creation of Technology Zones was a collaborative effort involving numerous Digi-Key departments – from its marketing group to its IT department to its product managers and application engineers.
