Digi-Key Corporation and Spectrum Digital Inc. Announce Signing of Distribution Agreement

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota and Stafford, Texas - February 03, 2009 — Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, and Spectrum Digital Inc. announced today that the companies have signed an agreement for the distribution of Spectrum Digital's scan path emulators and target modules in the United States and Canada.

• Starter kit for TI DaVinci™ video processors (Digi-Key part number 702065)

SDI develops portable scan path emulators for the TI DSPs, OMAP, DaVinci, TMS470 ARM, and microcontrollers. The portability of these emulators allows engineers and programmers to take their development to the application environment using laptop or notebook computers. These emulators eliminate the need for an adapter card in a PC chassis. SDI also develops evaluation modules, DSP starter kits (DSKs) and eZsp's for the TI DSPs, OMAP, DaVinci, and TMS470 ARM. These targets are standalone circuit boards with expansion capabilities that allow engineers to evaluate hardware and software prior to developing their own products. The quick startup mechanism allows the customer to get is product to market earlier by reducing engineering time.
