GLFR Series SMD Inductors


TDK and Digi-Key introduce wire-wound surface mount small inductors for DC power lines


In response to the needs of the latest circuit designs of devices such as high-end mobile phones, digital still cameras, or digital video cameras, TDK developed the GLFR series, which offers optimal shapes and sizes for the DC power lines of such devices.

TDK GLFR Series The greatest advantage of the GLFR series is low Rdc, which can be reduced in the 2012 type as much as 30% and up to 67% in the 1608 type. Both types also offer a variety of inductance values. The GLFR series has a newly developed square drum-shaped ferrite core and an internal connection terminal created using AG filler-containing electroconductive paste. The edges of the coil are processed with thermo-compression allowing for high-precision automatic winding. The high-temperature reflow process is supported by the original terminal electrode structure, which supports mold resin and diverse lead-free soldering.
