USB (universial serial bus) is a serial communication standard that is most commonly the interface between a host computer and peripheral devices. A uniform socket, plug-and-play capability, and power supply for low-power devices makes this protocol flexible. There are multiple versions of USB including 1.0 (full-speed), 2.0 (hi-speed) and OTG (on the go).
