Basic Stamps

The developer's code is stored in an EEPROM, which can also be used for data storage. SX Series

The Parallax SX family of configurable communications controllers features an advanced process, combined with a RISC-like architecture, allows high-speed computation, flexible I/O control, and efficient data manipulation. Throughput is enhanced by operating the device at frequencies up to 75 MHz and by optimizing the instruction set to include mostly single-cycle instructions. The deterministic architecture of the SX provides reliable performance for time-critical applications.

Parallax’s Propeller MCUs feature eight 32-Bit processors (referred to as COGs) in one chip. Programmed in both a high level language Spin™, and low-level Propeller Assembly language, the series is recommended for those with previous microcontroller experience.
